WARNING GRAPHIC POST
WEAK STOMACHS MOVE ON !!!
The great thing about a blog is I can post
what I want too. So crazy anonymous
comment leavers beware, this is MY BLOG
IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE
MOVE ON, NO ONE MADE YOU VISIT
IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Ok, so you may be wondering
what this picture is all about.
Well these are pictures of uterine fibroids.
I have been tormented by one for over a year
now. I was not even told I had one the
size of a BASEBALL in my grumpy ol' uterus
until last week.
You may ask how is that ???? Well I have my
annual exam like clock work, never miss it.
I have had the same OB/GYN for the last
10 years. He didn't mention it nor screen
for it in all the times in the last 18 months
that I have been in his office complaining
of excessive bleeding, horrible pain, and so on.
So all you ladies out there who have a history
of GYN problems listen up... DO NOT
LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU ????
If you have any of the following insist that
your GYN find out what is going on. I may
now face a hysterectomy because of the delay
in diagnosing:
1. PELVIC PAIN THAT WON'T GO AWAY
2. HEAVY-PAINFUL PERIODS
3. SPOTTING/BLEDDING BETWEEN PERIODS
4. PAIN W/INTERCOURSE
5. DIFFICULTY EMPTYING YOUR BLADDER
6. DIFFICULTY MOVING YOUR BOWELS
Tricky stuff to talk to anyone about,
but it may just save you a heck of a
lot of trouble.
Do not take "it's normal" for an answer. I did
because of my complicated GYN history.
I have PCOS which comes with it's own
set of problems. IT IS NOT NORMAL !!!
DID YOU KNOW THESE THINGS
ARE TREATABLE !!!!!
They may grow back
but there are many options when they are
small, but not so many options when they
get bigger.
Ok, onto good news. I have a new OB/GYN.
I'll let you know what he has to say after my
visit with him next week.
By the way, he saved my aunts life a few
months back. He didn't spout off
"it's normal" when she casually mentioned
some breast discomfort. He sent
her for a mamogram, she's only 2 years older
than me. She now is fighting furiously.
She has a very agressive form of breast
cancer and the kicker is her only symptom
was a sore boob which she thought
was from working out.
Never be afraid to question your doctor
or insist on more info or tests. It's your
right and you pay out the ear to see
them anyways.
RANT OVER, FEEL BETTER ...
Time to catch up on life, I missed
alot in the last 10 days.
