This is our great - niece Ayda.
She is an absolute doll.
Chunky, cute, funny and
oh so cudly ... This is our niece Amanda (Ayda's mom)
our nephew Richard and
of course Chase holding Ayda.
Here's uncle Nate with Ayda ...
he just finished shooting her like
a machine gun, she loved it.
Miss them already, too short
a visit.

I feel like Julia Roberts in
Pretty Woman when she has all
that money to buy a nice dress
and no one will sell her one.
I have all this beautiful fabric
and tubs more
and no time to sew it up and get it
in my shop. I feel like opportunities
are passing me by ...
I have cabinets of craft and
scrapbooking supplies and can't
find the time to get it done either.
My days are spent watching my
sweet little friends that come to play
with me each day and then
between scouts, primary, cooking,
cleaning and preparing for the next day
I seem to be too tired to play myself ...
I NEED MORE TIME IN EACH DAY !!!

I put this blanket together for a family friend. The original concept was great and the execution was OK, but all I can see are the flaws.

Laundry from hell has kept me busy this weekend. Sealing the bulk meat purchase from our Costco trip was another thing that kept me busy. Working on a memory quilt for a cousin who has lost both of her parents in the last two years also kept me busy. Destashing my craft room particularly the fabric section was a monumental task. 5- 30 gallon totes of scraps and odds and ends to go thru. All are now packed nicely in clear totes by color ...

WHEW ... I'm tired ...

I am a DIE CUT freak ...
and have patiently been
waiting for Provo Craft
to add the Mesa Temple
to it's list of downloadable
files for cutting on my
Silhouette. Look what finally appeared
in the list this week.
It can be cut in vinyl or
cardstock. I can't wait to
cut this one.
Whoot ... Whoot ...

Under the Christmas Tree
there was this box holding the
most amazing contraption in it.
A SERGER ...
I am sooooo in love ...
I can't stop sewing with it ...
In no time flat I am
producing skirts and shirts
and am continually amazed
each time at how fun and easy
my new serger is to
use. I was scared to death
to thread it the first time
one of the threads broke.
It was sooo easy. I sweated
for nothing.

Just happen to know a
sweet little cow girl who
needed some little outfits
to go with her
John Deere boots and her
pink boots.

Just look how perfectly
the garment edge is finished.

Off to play some more,
gotta learn how to use the
gathering foot and make
a rolled hem for my
petal skirt ...
C YA ...
