Today we began the celebration
for Chase's 8th birthday. By
begin, I mean today was his party
with the buddies he wanted
to accompany him to
Amazing Jakes.
They had a ton of fun.
As you can see by their version
of silly faces.
We were supossed to be eating
but the boys were too excited to
go play games.
They even started opening the
gifts before we were ready.
He received a major gift from
my parents the night before.
A "Doodle Bug" a little red
100 cc motor bike. We got a
helmet for him.
I'll post pics of that later.
Then onto the games and lines.
First it was laser Tag which they
absolutely loved.

Then onto what seemed like
a million games of Air Hockey.
I must say I played with one
boy or another at sometime
throughout the day.

As usual lines and lines and
more lines. Then onto
golf which tried my patience.
They were quite the wrecking
crew with the golf balls and
golf clubs if you know what
I mean.

My crazy mom who if
you know her well you know
that she loves Pac Man
but will settle for Ms. Pac Man
if she must.
I am not joking when I say that
she stayed at this game for over
3 hours. Yes, I said 3 hours, non stop.
Over 180 minutes.

We had a great time.
The boys were so well behaved
and we didn't lose anyone this year,
unlike last year.
So now it's onto
Cake and Ice Cream with family
on his actual birthday next week,
his baptism this month and starting
Cub Scouts in little less than a week.
So much already completed this
month yet so much left to do.
I still have the baptism program,
picking up his first set of
scriptures with his name on
them of course and picking
up his cub scout uniform, food
for after the baptism
and of course the memory quilt I have
been working on as part of my
talk at his baptism.
Crossing my fingers that
I get it all
done...

We made a mad dash
to the Temple this evening
to take this picture of
Chase sitting at the feet
of Christ for the cover
of his baptism program.
I still need to lighten and
soften it alittle but it's
exactly what I wanted.
Now I just need to get the
program typed up. Chase made
all of his calls to enlist
the help of family
and friends to participate
in his baptism.
Over the years I have
created many baptism
program covers and each
of them has been unique
and I never repeat them.
So I just had to find
something for Chase
that I hadn't done
for anyone else. Now
the fun part, finding
the right font and
shape. Deciding how much
to soften, how much to
fade out the edges and
what kind of glossy paper
to use so that it still
looks like a program and
not a picture.
Just can't resist posting this
pic taken tonight at the Temple.
Don't ya just love that cute
little smile???
I DO...
Happy I have soooo
much to get done in
the next few weeks
Wednesday.........

He's almost 8...
In a few weeks he'll be
having a birthday
and getting Baptized.
YIKES...
Where has the time gone? The door that he is
in front of has a lot of
history behind it.
When I was a little
girl my dad would
pull his truck up to it on
Saturday mornings and one
of the Cordova boys
would throw feed in it.
When I was about Chase's
age, my brother and I
stood in this very doorway
holding our brandnew
leather western belts,
that had been stamped
with our names on them.
MEMORIES...

Who says little girls
can't like Cars ???
Well this little cutie
is Ella a cousin of mine.
I had the oportunity
to make this cute little outfit
for her for her birthday.
She loves Cars and we thought
this fit her perfectly.
It's a halter corset
that laced up in back
with large silver
grommets and red ribbon.
The back remained open so
you could see the full ruffled tutu.
You can't tell but she also
has a super cute black tutu on
with some bloomer shorts
in the checker flag pattern.
And her addition to the assemble
was some Cars rain boots.
They totally made the outfit.
The pattern came from
Erinlively1979 on Etsy.
Just love her stuff.
Happy Birthday Ella !!!
